Interested in a Map Pack?

Honestly folks I hate seeing when game deveolpers try to sell their audience a map pack. Though I have huge love for the Halo franchise the need for bungie to release a map pack is dissappointing for me. I dont mind the fact that new maps are coming out what but what bothers is me that they charge $15-$30 for these, in actualality, very small updates.

The fact that players can download other player's maps, screen shots, and clips, from file share system shows that downloading a map pack from  something like a bungie master account should be doable. However due to the success of sales from the ealier map packs do companies feel like they can get away with charging such a ridiculous price.

As players we are then punished from not purchasing the map packs by blocking players from competing online as they might not have maps that other players do. In other words the company is saying, "Thanks for buying our game no if you would to continue playing with the world you have to pay us mooooree money mwhahahahahaha!"

I'm not going to say we should stand against and say "Dont buy it and it will go away" because the truth is that enough people will buy it that it will continue to happen. However if you part of the bungie community voice your feeling perhaps. I know thats where I'll take my arguement.

The Fall Season

Sorry I'm sure most of you have already seen what the fall season has to offer, since were already in week 5 of it, however some of you  might know whats going on. So to keep everyone on the same page here are some of the newer works in the Fall Season.

For a better view of the chart click this link: 2010 Fall Chart

There seems to be an uprising trend with the somewhat Echi (slightly perverted) material of anime as "To Love-Ru is making a return along with the other appernt Echi anime from the list. However the excitment is overwhelming to see that "A certain Magical Index" has return with a season 2 (Not only that but an OVA of the dynamic female Railgun)! Also what is that I see? An American hero makes his debut in the anime scene with Ironman, could this be an epicly epic series or will it fall flat? Lastly the card game Battle spirits continues to push its marketing with it's self titled anime "Battle Spirits:Brave".
I'll do my best to watch and review as much of these anime that i can for you guys, however since the College Fall semester is also starting to come to a close, the preassures of finals approaches! However I'll be able to most definitely catch up during the winter break.
If there is a certain series that you would like me to focus on, please do name the title in comments and I'll make sure to show as much focus that I can.

Casual Corner

Though I like to consider myyself a "hardcore" gamer i cant help but feel that the casual game scene has greatly evolved into a legitimate source of gaming. It isn't as easy when you get older to sit down and play through games hours at a time as so many responsibilities, work, and studying starts envelope all of your free time. So how can i escape from it for a few seconds? By playing quick little games like peggle, plants vs zombies and other such works. Introducing "Casual Corner" where i'll play through great and crappy Itouch app games so you dont have to, and tell you which ones actually are fun enough to waste a little time on.

Catapult Madness Score: 8

Catapult madness is a traditional catapult game. Meaning you have a catapult and you try to launch whatever you are launching as far as possible. The story in this game is a kingdom is under siege by a troll army, the king would like to contact another kingdom for assistance however it is 50,000 ft away from his castle. He then has a catapult made in which he will fling a messenger to the neighboring kingdom to get help. Using well timed power ups and with a little luck you just might get their yourself! After you clear so many feet you eventually get more ideal subject to throw to cover greater distances. It isnt the most dramatic or story driven game, but it does give enjoyment with it's cartoony graphics and epic music loop. So I say if you have a little time and enjoy throwing endless peasants into space you yourself might want to give it a try. My only words of advice is, beans making you gassy can really make you soar!

Trust me kid your going to be a hero, I'll carve a statue or something in your name. Now stop holding onto the catapult for dear life or your going to mess up my shot!

Cosplay of the Day

This is a segment in which A cosplay costume will be featured.

Today's cosplay of the day is Link (Twilight Princess)

This is an extremely well done cosplay of the newest version of Nintendo's iconic character Link. Though the garbs are unfamiliar to casual player's of the Zelda series Link player's might remember that this generation of Link was given the familiar hero garbs, cap and tights and all, later on in the game. The cosplayer seems to have made this costume instead of bought it and therefore deserves major credit for his efforts. on a scale of one to ten this gets an nine.

Whats Being worked on

Currently I'm only watching the extremely popular anime series but that usually changes when my school semester slows down. I thought you readers might be intrested in what series i have already seen or are watching so here is my list.

Finished Works: Bamboo Blade, Claymore, Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Full Metal Alchemist, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Gurren Lagann, Tora Dora, Ichigo 100%, Code Geass, The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Pokemon( along with the orange island and Johto), original Digimon, Dragonball (Z and GT as well), and many other ones that really didnt make it big haha.

Working on: Angel Beats, Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail
Though i know the new seasons of anime are listed i havent quite taken a look as to what new series will be out but I will get back to you n those.

So thats as far as anime goes.

Currently in gaming my finances havent been the greatest but i've still managed to play some of the games. Due to the fact that Halo Reach is what most of my friends are on, I find myself playing that the most. However I am doing a throwback onto my Playstation 2 and playing Persona 4 as well.

Game reviews will tend to be slower since it takes some time to complete them, but i'll probably review one within the next week.

Thanks for reading and Break Limits out there! (I'm working on a catch phrase aha)

Welcome

Hey there and welcome to Limit Break,
Some of you might have stumbled here by accident but let me assure you it was fate that you ended up on my page. Chances are you care about video games, anime, or anything in general that deems the term nerdy or geek. However those are not negative terms around here, instead its encouraged! I'm pretty new to writing about these activities but I hope that you come to enjoy my reviews on such activities and decide to stay and maybe leave some feedback. Until I can really get a foothold on this I wont really have a tentative schedule of how this blog will work but lets experiment and enjoy where it takes us. Well I'll catch you next time with something a bit more interesting to read!

P.S. heres a picture for your trouble
